GENERAL PHILODENDRON CARE RECOMMENDATIONS LIGHT: Bright, indirect light is essential to maintain rich color. It will also grow in partial shade, but the leaves will become greener. WATERING: Moderate. The top layer of soil should dry out between waterings. In large pots, avoid standing water. HUMIDITY: Standard room humidity is suitable, but higher humidity will make the leaves appear brighter and healthier. TEMPERATURE: Optimal temperature is 18–27°C.
